I have been a Governor at Moor Hey School for 10 years and thoroughly enjoy working with everyone there. I am a retired teacher, having worked with children of all ages and abilities, and understand the important part governors play in the running of any school.
My role at Moor Hey is chairman of the curriculum committee with responsibility for assessment, SEN, RPI (Restrictive Physical Intervention) and Curriculum.
I am co-opted governor at Penwortham Girls' High School, where I am the link Governor for Special Educational and Disability Needs. I am a local Councillor on Penwortham Town Council where I was first appointed 30 years ago in May. My other interests include reading, doing jigsaws, travelling and spending quality time with my family.
